We all have attachments to things. They vary from time to time, depending on what we believe our needs to be. Try and identify what they are. Write them down and be honest with yourself. It could be that you’re attached to a certain thought, belief system, your mobile phone or particular food types, i.e. cravings for sugar. Work back from the primary thought to understand where it comes from and what its trigger may be. Don’t judge yourself for it. Don’t try and go “cold turkey” on the attachment. Just work towards, each and every day, relinquishing your attachments, perhaps starting with one, and take baby steps in letting go of certain thoughts and feelings surrounding them. It will take time and so don’t be impatient with self. Honor your journey here, take your time and process each thought with love, forgiveness for self and patience. Keep a journal - put pen to paper to get certain thoughts and feelings out of your mind. Healing takes time. Embrace the “time” - for however long that may be and go forth into each and every day with the mission of feeling that little bit more free.

What Is Perfection?
Perfection is loving every aspect of self in a balanced light through unconditional eyes, no matter what. Perfection is the opportunity to see yourself and others as they already are, for what they are and not as you want yourself or them to be. Perfection is forgiveness: Allowing yourself to understand the value in all of your life experiences and upon reflection, deepen your wisdom. Perfection is embracing what a glossy magazine deems to be faulty. I love my eye lines. I don’t need to get rid of them. Perfection is walking around the house with no make-up, greasy hair, ugg boots and in a tracksuit because you’re already amazingly beautiful inside your own skin, and you don't require externals to prove it. Perfection is recognising others strengths and weaknesses, and celebrating, not condemning both. Perfection is being open to growth and personal development, not trying to control every aspect of life’s journey. Perfection is giving yourself space to be angry, sad, frustrated or being able to make “mistakes”, but giving yourself greater room for love, healing, stillness, peace and forgiveness. Perfection is love and self acceptance. It’s about letting go. It’s about being able to look yourself in the mirror at any stage, of any age and saying “I love you. You’re perfect to me”.

Sit On Some Grass.
To clear the mind, sometimes all it takes is to sit on some grass. Kick the heels off, take a picnic, book, camera or a notepad and pen. Relax and let nature help you unwind.
Wanting It All.
Why can’t I have it all? There have been so many things I’ve wanted in life. So many things I’ve lusted for and craved. But if we all had everything, what would be left for us to create? There is nothing good in having everything, and what is “everything” anyway? Different things have different meanings for everyone; things serve us at different times and stages in our lives when we most need them. Nothing is permanent or “a given”. So whilst I think at times to myself, “I want it all”, I realise that there is absolutely nothing that I don’t already have, or cannot at least work towards in my time.

Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost.
Not all those that wander are lost. I choose to be free. I choose to not know. I choose to let go. I choose spontaneity. I choose intuition and inner guidance. I choose change and different perspective. I want to see it all through your eyes. I want to get lost, just so I can be found again. If not by me, then maybe by you. The joy in life is to explore, experience and relax. The joy comes from anticipation and an unexpected outcome. Love the journey of life. Wander. Allow yourself to get lost. Often.

New York I Love You.
New York I love you. When I was 4 years of age, I used to trot around the garden like a grub in my “I Love New York” t-shirt. In 2005, I visited you for the first time and cried for the three days leading up to my departure, as I had found my home and hated the fact I was leaving it. In 2010, I visited you for a month or so and again, had the time of my life walking your streets. In 2011 I stayed with you again for a month or so and created a herb garden inside a sky scraper building. It’s now 2013 and I’m determined to officially move to you. But life has a funny way of intervening and telling you when the time is right, not the other way around. This is the year New York. My long anticipated love, dream and future home. This has to be the year.

Letting Go.
I love love. I love love soooo much that I realise there's not a whole point to life without it. Life is so much more rewarding if you find love in it every single day, in as many different ways. But sometimes, we also have to let love go. As much as it can hurt, new love will find you again, and you will find it.
